Health Insurance
Health insurance is required for international students when studying in Canada. The insurance plan is provided by GuardMe. Students must purchase their health insurance through The University of Winnipeg and health insurance fees must be paid with all other program fees, three weeks before the program start date.
To make a claim, login to your GuardMe portal for more information.
We strongly recommend all family members who are with you to obtain health coverage. If you wish to extend your stay in Canada after the program end date, you can extend your health insurance coverage. Please contact our Registration Office for specific fees and further information.
