Accepted Students

Library studentsCongratulations on your acceptance to the Faculty of Education! We know that attending university for the first time can be both exciting and a little overwhelming.

As mentioned in your acceptance letter, all new Education students must attend a half-day orientation before registering for courses.  This session will give you all the information that you need to succeed in your first year. If you haven’t already called us to sign up for a session, please do so right away.  All sessions take place in late May/early June.

Before your orientation session, you might want to think about the age group of children you would most like to work with, and the subject areas you would most like to teach in your future career. At the orientation, you will learn how to choose first-year courses related to these interests, and how to get your degree off to a great start.

If you want to get a head start, you can also go to the Education website and look over the First-Year Guide.
