Special Study/Project

Courses must first be approved by the department and created in WebAdvisor. Be sure to enquire about and plan these courses well in advance.

Joint Masters Programs

The registration form for the Faculty of Graduate Studies of The University of Manitoba is used for all Joint Masters Programs. The form must be completed and signed by the Chair of the Joint Discipline Committee and returned by mail or in person to the Faculty of Graduate Studies at UManitoba.

Thesis, Practicum, or Comprehensive Exam Writing Term Information

Thesis-, practicum- and comprehensive exam-based students may apply for a Thesis, Practicum, or Comprehensive Exam Writing Term if additional time is required to complete their degrees. The application form (available on the Forms for Students page) must be completed and submitted accordingly by dates on the form.

Continuance Term Information

Students (exlcuding those registered in the Theology and course-based Marriage and Family Therapy programs) who require additional to complete their degrees beyond the “Thesis/Practicum/Comprehensive Exam Writing Term” (if applicable), may apply for a Continuance Term. If you are requesting a Continuance Term, the Continuance Term Application Form (available on the Forms for Students page) must be completed, submitted, and paid accordingly by dates on the form or late fees will be applied.
