Showers and Change-Rooms

UWinnipeg offers showers & change-rooms for individuals to use after their commute. 

The Science Complex & Richardson College for the Environment currently has two locations – 0RC12 and 0RC09 – both of which are available at no cost and are open to all students, staff and faculty. 

The Duckworth Centre also has change rooms available. Individuals who have registered for secure bike parking in Duckworth Centre Parkade may gain access to showers for $2/month.


Bike Lab

Fix Your Bike for Free!

Visit the UWSA Bike Lab on main campus, near the courtyard entrance to Centennial Hall. 

Established in 2011, the UWSA Bike Lab is the central hub for cyclers in Winnipeg’s downtown core. It’s an easily accessible on-campus maintenance pit-stop for students and community members. The lab hosts workshops for all skill levels and it is also open during the week for cyclists to drop-by and work on their bikes.

Employee Wellness and Sustainability Account 

The purpose of the account is to encourage healthy living for employees as well as better health for our communities and the environment by helping to offset the cost of physical activity, wellness programs, recycling, sustainable transportation, and other sustainable activities. 

Benefit Amount

Eligible UWFA-RAS and Excluded Academic Employees - Maximum claim amount: $75

Eligible AESES, IUOE and Excluded Support Employees - Maximum claim amount: $100

Eligible Reimbursement Includes: 

  • Bus passes/peggo card and bus tickets
  • Personal bicycle and replacement parts

Bike Parking

UWinnipeg has three types of bike parking:

(1) Secured-Access Bike Parking

(2) Underground Bike Parking

(3) Open-Access Outdoor Bike Parking


(1) Secured-Access Bike Parking:

Duckworth Centre


The Duckworth Centre Parkade (approximately 20 spaces). Register through Leslie Uhryniuk by completing & submitting a Bike Parking Application Form.



McFeetors Hall



Bike Cage at McFeetors Hall (approximately 30 spaces, with room to expand). Located in front of the main building entrance. Register through Leslie Uhryniuk by completing & submitting a Bike Parking Application Form.                                                                                                                                                                                            


AnX 

Bike Cage at the AnX building (approximately 40 spaces). Access is only available to staff and faculty who work in the AnX complex. Register through Brian, the building manager, via email.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         


(2) Underground Bike Parking


RecPlex
The RecPlex Parkade (Approximately 20 spaces). This is an ideal location for winter riders. Register through Leslie Uhryniuk by completing & submitting a Bike Parking Application Form.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

(3) Open-Access Outdoor Bike Parking

Bike Lab



Main Campus (approximately 200 spaces). Located in ‘B-Lot’ beside the Bike Lab [near the interior courtyard entrance to Centennial Hall]. No prior registration is required; availability on a ‘first-come-first served’ basis.




Science Complex
Science Complex & Richardson College for the Environment (approximately 60 spaces). Bike racks are located at the front of the building along Portage Avenue, with a few others positioned along Langside. No prior registration is required; availability on a ‘first-come-first served’ basis.


Buhler Centre


Buhler Building (approximately 15 spaces). Bike racks are located at the front of the building along Portage Avenue. No prior registration is required; availability on a ‘first-come-first served’ basis.
