The University of Winnipeg offers several teacher education programs in conjunction with Red River College.

Industrial Arts/Technology Teacher Education

Integrated Program − Students may enter the five year Integrated B.Ed./B.A. or B.Sc. Industrial Arts/Technology Teacher Education program directly from high school, or as transfer students from another program or faculty. Students in the Integrated program attend both RRC and UW in each year of the program. Students will be prepared to teach Industrial Arts/Technology, as well as a second subject based on their academic major.

After Degree Program − We also offer a three year After Degree option for students who have completed an undergraduate degree. Students in the After Degree program will spend the first two years at RRC, and the final year at UW. Students must have completed an 18 credit hour teachable minor prior to attending UW. Completion of a teachable minor may require courses beyond the first degree.

Business Technology Teacher Education

Integrated Program − Students may enter the five year Integrated B.Ed./B.A. or B.Sc. Business/Technology Teacher Education program directly from high school, or as transfer students from another program or faculty. Students in the Integrated program attend both RRC and UW in each year of the program. Students will be prepared to teach Business Technology, as well as a second subject based on their academic major.

After Degree Program − We also offer both a two year and a three year After Degree option for students who have completed an undergraduate degree. The two year option is appropriate for students who have a significant background in Business courses. The Chair of the Teacher Education Program at RRC will evaluate prior course work, and determine the appropriate program. Students in the After Degree program will spend the first one or two years at RRC, and the final year at UW. Students must have completed 18 credit hours of appropriate courses in a teachable minor prior to attending UW. Completion of a teachable minor may require courses
beyond the first degree.

Technical Vocational Teacher Education
