Commuter Challenge 2022

The University of Winnipeg is once again proudly participating in the Green Action Centre’s annual Commuter Challenge from June 5th-June 11th!

RUN, BIKE, BUS, ROLL or STROLL!

The Commuter Challenge is a week-long friendly workplace competition that's going to get you moving!

Here’s how it works: 

  1. Register for the University of Winnipeg Commuter Challenge Team here.
  2. After each of your trips, log your KMs on the Commuter Challenge website. This will help UW and yourself, WIN prizes! Check out the Green Action Center prize list here.
  3. Make sure to participate in the UW Commuter Challenge scavenger hunt! Go to the locations on the list below and during the Commuter Challenge, for your chance to WIN more great prizes. See below for more information.

UW Commuter Challenge 2022 Scavenger Hunt:

To participate:

  1. Go to as many locations on the list below between June 5 and June 11, AND take a photo!
  2. Send us your location photos through Instagram @uwinnipegsustainability OR through email at sustainability@uwinnipeg.ca to be entered for the prizes below.
    • Anyone who makes it to TEN of the stops and sends them in, will automatically receive a $10 gift certificate to Diversity Food services.

Photos may be used on social media for engagement purposes.

For each location photo you send in, you’ll be given one entry into our prize draw for your chance to win one of ...

  • two $50 gift certificates for Olympia Cycle and Ski
  • two $50 gift certificates for Diversity Food Services
  • two $50 gift certificates for Mountain Equipment Coop
  • four $20 gift certificates to Scout Coffee

Anyone who makes it to TEN of the stops and sends them in, will automatically receive a $10 gift certificate to Diversity Food Services.

  • Bonus - your own favourite location (that isn’t already on the list)!

  • Use the hashtag #CommuterChallengeMB to be eligible for more GAC prizes.
