March is SDGs Month in Canada, a national initiative empowering universities and colleges to build awareness and engagement around the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Throughout the month, we’re making sustainability local and actionable with hands-on events, peer-to-peer learning, and collective art.
How To Get Involved
Event: Create a Sustainability Mural Board with our Sustainability Ambassadors
Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Riddell Hall Atrium
Join our Sustainability Ambassadors and add your action to our collaborative SDG Mural Board, capturing how our campus community contributes to each of the 17 SDGs. From climate-friendly commuting to zero-waste, every action counts.
Event: Education and Awareness on World Water Day
Date: March 23
Location: Riddell Hall Atrium
Join us for World Water Day as we highlight global and local water issues, actions, and resources.
Event: Spring Clothing Drop-off & Swap
Clothing Drop-Off Dates: Now through March 25
Drop-Off Location: UWSA Info Booth
Clothing Swap for UWSA Students: March 30 – 31
Organized in collaboration with the Campus Sustainability Office and the Manitoba Council for International Corporation (MCIC), donate new and/or gently used clothing to support waste reduction and prepare for our campus clothing swap.
