UW participates in Main Street Project's Socktober

The University of Winnipeg through the CSO will be a public drop-off for Main Street Project's Socktober event. 

Main street Project (MSP) is a local organization working in emergency and social services, substance use support, residential and supportive housing, food security, and outreach. (Main Street Project, 2021)

For the winter months ahead, Main Street Project is aiming to collect 30,000 pairs of new socks for some of Winnipeg's most underserved and vulnerable communities. 

Purchasing: Local socks can be sourced at Wilderness Supply, alternatively Walmart/Giant Tiger have deals on larger packs of socks. MSP also has an amazon wish list to source from, or you may provide a monetary donation, through MSP's website.

Location: Menno Simon's College (MSC) Student Lounge

520 Portage Avenue.

Hours: Monday-Friday | 8:30am-4:30pm
