About UW Classics Degrees

At UWinnipeg, we offer 3-Year and 4-Year majors, Honours Majors, and minors in Classical Civilization or Classical Languages (Latin and Ancient Greek). Classics can be teamed with other programs – from Arts, Science, Kinesiology, Education, and Business and Economics – to create a double major in the fields of your choice. We also participate in the Interdepartmental Minor in Comparative Literature (see the program webpage for more information).

If you are interested in pursuing a degree in Classics, we encourage you to consult with a member of the Department to help plan a program that fits your individual needs. Students wishing to pursue Classics at the graduate level are strongly advised to pursue a BA Honours in Classics, and to take as many courses in the ancient languages as possible.
