Biography:
Mitch is a founding member of the Bear Clan patrol and does extensive volunteer work in Inner City Winnipeg with the homeless community, at risk youth, and missing people .
Mitch has received two Canadian governor general awards and the order of Manitoba for his work .
He was awarded the medal of bravery for going into the river to rescue a young woman in December 2016.
Mitch also has a special spot in his heart for people who live with mental health challenges as he cares for an adult son, who lives with schizophrenia
