Departmental Awards

Departments annually offer a combination of automatic awards and competitive application-required awards. These are merit-based and program specific. You can apply for application-required awards through the awards portal. You must complete both the General Application and the the University Scholarships and Department Awards Application. Some awards may need an additional essay, statement, or resume. You can find these awards under Recommended Opportunities.

To maximize your changes of getting matched to department awards, you must declare your major. Consult an academic advisor to help you determine your major and plan your degree.
