Join us for a lively discussion with John Olfert, as he shares
inspiring stories and insights on his journey from student
athlete (Wesmen Volleyball) to top entertainment executive
and committed community volunteer.

John has been with True North Sports + Entertainment
since 2001, serving in a variety of capacities during the
development and opening of Bell MTS Place and Bell
MTS Iceplex, and acquisition of the Winnipeg Jets NHL
franchise. After serving in the role of Chief Financial
Officer since 2002, John’s role expanded in 2014 to Chief
Operating officer, and he leads a team that manages the
operations of the Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose, Bell MTS
Centre, Bell MTS Iceplex, and Burton Cummings Theatre.
John is also a board member on the True North Youth
Foundation that offers programs and services to thousands
of Manitobans through Camp Manitou, Project 11 and the
Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy.
