FIRST CALL for nominations for UWinnipeg’s 50th Anniversary

Help us tell our story! We are inviting nominations for 50 people with a UWinnipeg or Collegiate connection who have had a significant impact. These profiles will be shared throughout 2017 across all our platforms (website, magazine, poster boards, social media).

As 2017 approaches and Canada prepares to mark its 150th anniversary, the University of Winnipeg is poised to celebrate 50 years of nurturing global citizens.

Nomination for the “50 at 50” Profiles

The University of Winnipeg has a rich history in Manitoba with its roots dating back more than 130 years. The founding colleges were Manitoba College (1871), and Wesley College (1888), which merged to form United College in 1938. In 1967, United College received its charter and became The University of Winnipeg.

Our 50 impact profiles can include faculty, staff, donors, alumni, or current students connected to us going back to 1871.

We are searching for compelling stories about people who have had an outstanding and lasting impact locally, nationally and/or internationally through professional contributions and outstanding service to the community.
