Experiential Learning Fund Recipients Announced
March 1, 2013
Congratulations to Associate Dean Glen Bergeron (also on this project
Valerie Pelleckand Rob Pryce); and Professor Nathan Hall who are among
the inaugural recipients of support from the new Experiential Learning
Fund. Both faculty members and a number of UWinnipeg students have been
awarded funding to support for-credit experiential learning
opportunities.

Athletic Therapy Students “Hurry Hard” for a Cause!
January 26, 2013
The University of Winnipeg Athletic Therapy Students Association (aka
WATSA) put on a costume curling event at the Rossmere Curling Club on
Saturday, January 26th, 2013. The event was dubbed "UWATSA in da House"
and raised $500 for Kid Sport, a program sponsored by Sport Manitoba. Read More >

The Kinesiology Students Association organized a Pedometer challenge to
promote the value of physical activity in our day-to-day lives and to

Book Launch and Press Conference for “Concussed!”
The book Concussed! Sports-related Head Injuries: Prevention, Coping and Real Stories
is a look at the world of concussions through the eyes of players,
parents and children. It outlines the cause, effects and consequences of
