In Memory, Tribute & Bookplating Gifts

Through our Foundation, there are many ways to make gifts to the University that will enable you to honour a loved one, favourite teacher, colleague or friend. These include the following types of gifts:

In Memoriam

Gifts made in memoriam honour a loved one while supporting an institution that was dear to them. Upon receipt of an In Memoriam gift, The University of Winnipeg Foundation will forward an acknowledgement to the family of the individual whose memory you honour.

Tribute Gifts

Mark an anniversary, birthday, reunion, or other special occasion with a tribute gift to the alma mater of the honoree. Life at University holds a special place in the memory of alumni. What better way to commemorate the occasion than with a gift to one's alma mater?

Bookplating

A customized bookplate is a great way to remember a loved one. When you send your gift in support of the Library, together with information about the person that you wish to recognize, our thoughtful librarians will select a suitable book to be plated. The honoree or family will be notified in writing of your kind remembrance. Donations for book plating is $50.00. If you would like to make a bookplate, please email foundation@uwinnipeg.ca or call 204.786.9995. Alternatively, you can make a gift here, type in “Library” and fill in the details in the supplied comments sections.

Graduation Gifts

Each generation of students benefits from the generosity of those who came before them. Upon graduation, many students and their parents uphold this tradition by giving back to their alma mater. Even a small gift is of immeasurable value to the University. Not only do graduation gifts contribute to the mission of the University, they reflect on the thoughtfulness and selflessness of individuals who choose to study at The University of Winnipeg.
