Dr. Ripat wins Elaine Fantham Award in Public Engagement

Mon. May. 31, 2021

Congratulations to Dr. Pauline Ripat and her collaborator Dr. Christina Vester (University of Waterloo), who were awarded the Elaine Fantham Award in Public Engagement at the Classical Association of Canada (CAC) conference last week for their apps Vice Verba and Hoi Polloi Logoi.

The Award honours CAC members for their exceptional projects, performances, or events that address communities outside the academy and that engage those communities with the ancient world, its reception, and/or individual research into these fields.

This is a stellar achievement and recognition of Dr. Ripat and Dr. Vester's long efforts to make these apps and to promote their truly international use.
