Biography:
I have my PhD in Education in the area of Language and Literacy. My passion is writing and teaching writing to first-year students. As a writing instructor teaching first-year students, I am interested in taking the prior knowledge that students bring with them and using it as a foundation on which to build a program for writing instruction. It is very rewarding to teach students who start with little confidence in their writing ability and by the end of term they are writing more confidently. I have been happily employed in the Dept. of Rhetoric, Writing, and Communication since 2013.
