Accessibility Plan

After a comprehensive and inclusive consultations and review process, The University of Winnipeg is pleased to present to the public its Accessibility Plan [PDF] in compliance with the First Standard under the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (“the AMA”).

Our Accessibility Plan serves as a living document that will be modified and strengthened as the next four standards under the AMA are roll out.  We remain committed to our principal objective of having a barrier-free campus and culture in which all members of our community positively benefit while participating in all aspects of an inclusive working and learning environment.

We are proud that members of our community continue to recognized, celebrate and enhance a culture of accessibility.

We would like to remind all University employees that they are required to complete The Accessibility for Manitobans Act 30 minute on-line training session if they have not already done so, as soon as possible.

The training can be accessed as follows:

  • Access to AMA Online Training
  • Once there, click on “AMA Online Training Course – First Standard” link at the bottom of the page
  • Please view all three videos in order to ensure a seamless experience
