The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies Statement

It has come to our attention that there is a talk on March 3rd in the Department of Political Science at the University of Winnipeg. The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies is not affiliated with the Department of Political Science nor with its speaker series. The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies embraces an intersectional feminist framework, and was one of the key organizers for the: “C2C: Two-Spirit & Queer People of Colour: A Call to Conversation with LGBT & Allies" a conference hosted by the University of Winnipeg in 2017 https://www.uwinnipeg.ca/c2c/.
The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies has, and continues to be, in solidarity with 2SLGBTQ* and QTBIPOC students, staff, and faculty.
