Research in Focus Awards Ceremony

Join us for the Research in Focus Awards ceremony! Occuring during the 3-Minute Thesis 2026 competition, the awards ceremony will present awards to one winner and one runner-up from each of the five main photo categories, as well as a grand prize winner.

One (1) grand prize winner will be awarded $500, chosen from the winners of the five (5) main categories, while each of the five (5) main category winners will receive $300 and runners up will receive $200.

The winner and runner-up in a sixth category, Viewer’s Choice, will be determined by public voting from February 16 to March 2, 2026.

A seventh and final category, Best Description, will be judged in each category for best accompanying written description.
