Ethics

The University of Winnipeg is committed to maintaining high standards, and requires that all research, teaching, and testing conducted by its members conforms to the highest ethical and scientific standards with respect to the use of animals, human subjects, radioisotopes and biohazards.  Any research, teaching or testing conducted using University facilities, or undertaken by individuals connected to the University involving animals, human subjects, radioisotopes, and biohazards must be reviewed and approved by either the University Human Research Ethics Board or the University Animal Care Committee as appropriate.

Make sure you understand the University guidelines involving human subjects and animal subjects before you start your research.

NB: All faculty applying for new projects will be expected to complete the Research Starts Here (RSH) form at the outset of any proposed research. For more information, visit the RSH page.
