The Winnipeg and national theatre community offers many workshops, presentations and networking opportunities for students and those just entering the workforce. 

WINNIPEG STUDIO THEATRE INAUGURAL TALENT BRIDGE:  A MANITOBA THEATRE CONNECTIONS SYMPOSIUM

Erin McGrath, the new artistic director of Winnipeg Studio Theatre, announces WST's inaugural Talent Bridge: A Manitoba Theatre Connections Symposium. The goal behind this symposium is to create networking opportunities for grads (2020-2022) who would have been starting their careers during COVID, to help them build relationships with the artistic leaders in our community.

The event will take place Sept 12th-16th and is completely Free!

ROYAL MTC Graduating Theatre Artist Round Table

In a series of three meeting dates in May, Royal MTC is collecting information from recent and graduating students to better assist the community during the transition from theatre student to professional artist.  Deadline to reserve a spot is May 6th.  More information can be found HERE.

IBPOC THEATRE GRAD FAIR MAY 2 & 6, 2022

Calling all IBPOC students/former students who are recent grads of Theatre programs; students graduating this year; or entering their final year of study:

You’re invited to a free, two-day (online) IBPOC Theatre Grad Fair, beginning May 2 and continuing on May 6! You will have the chance to meet with other IBPOC students from across the country and hear from experienced IBPOC artists on the transition from post-secondary theatre education to the professional realm.

GOT YOUR BACK

In October 2019, the Theatre and Film Department hosted two events related to Safe Spaces the Got Your Back movement:  a sharing circle October 7th (led by Faculty member Shannon Vickers, Faculty member and Sarasvati Artistic Director Hope McIntyre, and director/actor/producer Krista Jackson) and a Real Thing lecture with Krista Jackson on October 30.
