We live in a post-Covid world in which life as we knew it has been scrambled by a global pandemic. Each of us has the power to observe, evaluate the impact of the changes on our own lives and then rewire and reset our personal directives in order to move forward in the kind of world we want. Change starts from within.

Each performer in Re-Wire(d) has created a solo performance unique to their experiences, interests and observations. These pieces are visual, aural and textual collages exploring a number of serious issues, often with a twist of humour. Themes include: the addictive thrill of speed and the draw of car racing as a metaphysical experience; the necessity of cultivating self-love and self-acceptance in building personal strength and resilience; the power of Indigenous spirituality and connection with the natural world in the process of healing trauma and nurturing positive mental health; a view of body image issues, body dysmorphia and eating disorders seen through the eyes of an eccentric clown; and the importance of nurturing and retaining child-like wonder and the magic of imagination throughout one’s life journey.

The performances are arranged as two separate series of solo pieces running on alternate nights, each followed by a talk-back session. Series One performances run Wednesday, November 15 and Friday, November 17 at 8:00 PM. Series Two performances run Thursday, November 16 at 8:00 PM and Saturday, November 18 at 7:30 PM

All performances are live. Masks are suggested but not required.  Admission is free but reservations are recommended.
