I Think We Are Alone by British Playwright Sally Abbott makes its North American premiere at the University of Winnipeg April 5-9, 2022. Director, Producer, Actress and Theatre Creator Hazel Venzon leads the Acting IV: Honours graduating actors and senior design and production students through a dynamic and striking production that is at once dreamlike and stiflingly-realistic.
In two acts, we follow six characters seamlessly weaving in and out of one another’s lives at key moments of love, loss and redemption. I Think We Are Alone is a bittersweet and funny take on our ache to connect with those voices we need to hear again, those arms we need to feel around us and those faces we need to see again. It is about letting go of some things and holding on to what we love the most.
The University of Winnipeg’s production features costume design by student Jord Nicanor, scenic design by student Katie Tyson, and lighting design by faculty member Adam Parboosingh. All technical work is done by both junior and senior production students.
I Think We Are Alone livestreams Tuesday, April 5 through Saturday, April 9 at 7:30 pm each evening. Everyone is welcome to tune in to view the live performance from the comfort of their own homes.
