This session introduces the practical and ethical considerations of using AI in research. We’ll walk through a decision‑making framework for determining when AI tools are appropriate and what factors to evaluate before integrating them. Participants will also gain an overview of AI tools that can support different stages of the research process, alongside a candid discussion of privacy, security, and ethical implications to help researchers make informed, responsible choices.
