There will be a workshop on April 10 led by Western University lead, Lissette Ochoa, on allyship in research. Their workshop, “From Intent to Action: What Equity and Inclusion Work Has Taught Us About Intentional Allyship in Research and Practice,” is available for all UofW staff, faculty, and students to attend.
Lissette (she/her) is an enthusiastic researcher and Academic Coach who loves helping others engage in meaningful dialogue and conversations that impact change. With a lengthy background in Settlement work and Internationalization, Lissette has engaged in various research projects for affiliated colleges and universities, supporting them to strengthen anti-racist strategies and move forward in inclusive practices across the university sector. Her current roles align with advancing Truth and Reconciliation in the hopes to further increase steps to allyship in research and practice. Her current involvement is with research in Leadership and within the Faculty of Health Sciences. Her heart is in community research that aligns with meaningful and respectful impact.
