If you are preparing to apply for tenure or promotion, we invite you to join a professional and informative session designed to support faculty members at all stages of the process. This event will provide clarity on expectations, insights from academic leadership, and opportunities to address questions relevant to your individual path.

The event is hosted by the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, and will feature a taco bar lunch. The session will include the following:

Overview of the Tenure & Promotion Process

A comprehensive walkthrough of application requirements, dossier components, and key deadlines that will cover both Assistant to Associate and Associate to Full Professor.

Panel Discussion and Q&A

Hear from Deans and UWFA leadership as they share guidance, common pitfalls, and recommendations for crafting a strong application.

Panelists include: Dr. Brandon Christopher, Associate Dean of Arts, Dr. Danielle Defries, Acting Dean, Kinesiology and Applied Health, Dr. Hugh Grant, Dean of Business and Economics, Dr. Laurie-Ann Hellsten, Dean of Education, Dr. Shauna Labman, Executive Director, Global College, Dr. Peter J. Miller, President, UWFA, and Dr. Tabitha Wood, Acting Dean of Science.
