Truth Reconfigured

Students of the University of Winnipeg Theatre and Film Department present:

                                                         TRUTH RECONFIGURED

                                                      An Original Ensemble Piece

by live stream, Wednesday, March 23 – Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 7:30 pm

Conceived and developed collaboratively by members of the 2022 fourth-year honours Devised Theatre class and directed by professor Claire Borody, Truth Reconfigured is a five-person ensemble performance that navigates the complex path of multiple truths, alt-facts, actual facts and fake-news in what can be described as an increasingly post-fact society. It examines and questions the ways in which human beings experience and process information in a world of information overload through the lens of satire, parody and theatre of the absurd.

This performance collage of physical and video images, vocal soundscapes, live music, and text emerges from a base of formal research on the themes of Climate Change, Racism and Conspiracy Theory drawn from journalism, popular culture, literature, film, music, and the visual and plastic arts.

Performances run Wednesday, March 23 to Saturday, March 26 at 7:30 pm. All performances are live streamed but reservations are required to receive the link.
