Solar Eclipse Viewing

If the skies are clear, come join the Physics Department to view the partial solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th at 1:45pm, with a properly equiped, state-of-the-art telescope, operated by members of the Physics Department. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes in front of the sun, partially or fully blocking the sun's rays. Observations of solar eclipses were instrumental in proving Einstein's theory of general relativity.

A solar eclipse that is visible from Winnipeg is a rare occasion. Come join us on Monday, April 8, 1:45pm in front of Wesley Hall (the "Castle on Portage Avenue")!
