Starstruck at UWinnipeg

“Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them,”said Roman emperor and philosopher, Marcus Aurelius. Now UWinnipeg students can dwell in beauty and run with the stars like we have for millennium thanks to a telescope.

Wanting to give back to his alma mater, John Pelleck (BA’73), has gifted UWinnipeg with a Celestron Super C8 Plus Telescope to view the stars. Thankfully, UWinnipeg’s physicist Don Campbell, and astrophysicist Vesna Milosevic-Zdjelar, whose research interests are galactic astronomy and astrophysical cosmology, will put the powerful telescope to good use, star gazing and viewing celestial objects in the night sky.
