A Week in the Life of the NASA Mars Rovers

Operating a sophisticated rover on another planetary surface is a complicated enterprise. The rover team wishes to maximize the amount of time that it operates and the amount of science that we accomplish. This is often a delicate balancing act, with multiple teams and often competing priorities. In this talk, I'll give people a "look under the hood" sharing some of the e-mail traffic that comes my way (as a co-investigator on the mission) on a typical day.
