Dr. Andrew Burke launching new book on Winnipeg film programmer Dave Barber

Professor Andrew Burke and former University of Winnipeg SSHRC postdoctoral fellow Clint Enns will be launching their edited collection, Scrapbook: From the Archives of Dave Barber, on Sunday, September 28th at 7.30pm at the Dave Barber Cinematheque. The DBC is located in the Artspace Building at 100 Arthur Street in the Exchange District. Scrapbook looks back on the life and career of legendary Cinematheque programmer Dave Barber, whose work had an immeasurable impact on the cultural and cinematic life of the city. The launch is being held in coordination with fiftieth anniversary celebrations of the Winnipeg Film Group.
