Biography:
I am a monster theorist with a Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow. A specialist in speculative and genre fiction, my work examines the cultural intersections and participatory moments in science fiction, horror and fantasy texts, both in literary and new media materials. My current work examines villainous and monstrous spaces in video games, with a particular focus on ludics shaping player experience and character articulation. I study monstrosity, trauma and participatory narratives creating emotional response.
