If you are currently studying in Manitoba, please see Manitoba high school admission requirements.  If you are in high school in another province in Canada, see the admissions requirements for out of province high school students.

For some majors at UWinnipeg, mostly in science and business, you need to have completed specific high school level courses in Math, Chemistry and/or Physics.  Check to see if you need any pre-requisites:

The application fee can be paid online with a credit card after you submit an application, through the Application Portal.  Or applicants in Canada can pay later with a cheque or money order, payable to The University of Winnipeg, and mailed to:

Find Your Application Deadlines

We encourage students to apply at least 3 to 4 months before their desired Start Term. You may start in Fall (September), Winter (January) or Spring (May).

International applicants: We recommend applying as early as possible to allow enough processing time for admission and visa or study permit applications.  Deadlines are:

  • Fall (September)     June 1
  • Winter (January)     September 15
  • Spring (May)          February 1

ALL APPLICANTS:  Late applications may be accepted, but we cannot guarantee that your file will be processed by the start of classes for the Term you want. Don't worry if you miss a deadline though, because if you don't start classes in Fall (September), you can start in Winter (January). Official Letters of Acceptance and Offers of Admission are issued for 2 start terms.
