The Physics of Science Fiction Films
Most of us have favourite science-fiction films - and usually we're happy to turn our scientist brains off when we watch them! But there's actually some interesting physics buried in there. This talk will focus on space-based movies and ask what they have to say about three things: (1) Space is big; (2) Space is curved; and (3) Space is expanding. Can you guess what movies will be used to illustrate these ideas?
