Special Education (Inclusive Ed) Stream

Special Education (Inclusive Ed) Stream (30 credit hours)

Students who complete the Special Education stream may apply to Manitoba Education for a Special Education Teacher Certificate. To be eligible students must have completed the 30 credit hour PBDE, and must have accumulated a minimum of two years successful teaching experience while holding a valid Manitoba Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate.

All courses are worth 3 credit hours. "ST" stands for "Special Topics"

EDUC-5442 (3) Working with Exceptional Children I

EDUC-5443 (3) Working with Exceptional Children II (prerequisite EDUC-5442)

EDUC-5445 (3) Educational Assessment (prerequisites EDUC-5440 and EDUC-5441)

Prerequisites

Please note that we will generally not waive prerequisites for courses in the Special Education stream. Students must have completed the appropriate prerequisites in order to register for particular courses.
