Courses marked in bold print are required for the degree.  Note that one of ACS-1903(3), ACS-1905(3) or ACS/PHYS-2102(3) will be a required for all BSc Math Honours students who enter the university in the 2020-21 academic year or later.

Students must take a minimum of 66 credit hours in Mathematics and can use at most 72 credit hours in Mathematics towards their honours degree. A minimum of 30 credit hours in Mathematics must be at the 3000/4000-level of which at least 12 credit hours must be at the 4000 level.  Cross-listed courses cannot be used towards the 30-credit hour course requirement in Mathematics at the 3000/4000-level.   1. This chart represents a sample course schedule. Students often don’t immediately decide on their major and can (and often do) obtain their Honours BSc degree in Mathematics by following a different course schedule than the sample one found here.
  2. Students can also take MATH-1101(6).
  3. Students may find it more convenient to take these courses in a different year (preferably within a difference of at most one year) than the one specified.
  4. Course is usually offered (at most) every other year.
