Accessibility for Manitobans Act Online Training

This online course will introduce all employees at the University of Winnipeg to the First Standard of the Accessibility for Manitobans Act, which was passed as law on November 1, 2015. Within the three modules, each 10 minutes in length, employees will have an opportunity to learn about specific types of barriers experienced by persons with disabilities and what they can do to facilitate removal of barriers toward greater accessibility, as well as how to foster respectful communication and interaction.  

Sexual Violence Prevention Policy Training

The University of Winnipeg is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for all members of its community. To do this, the University is creating awareness and educating the UW Community, including Staff and Faculty on the Sexual Violence Prevention Policy and Responding to Disclosures.

Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion Resources and Training

The Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) is a made-in-Canada solution designed to help employees effectively understand and support diversity, equity, and anti-oppression efforts within the workplace setting. Founded and run by experienced diversity and inclusion practitioners, the CCDI is focused on providing practical sustainable solutions that can help us all move towards true inclusion.

UWinnipeg is a CCDI member, so faculty members and staff can register for a free account and utilize the online resources and seminars offered by the CCDI as a means of reaffirming our institutional commitments to the principles of equality, diversity, and human rights — as well as to further your individual personal and professional development.

LGBTQ+ 101 - Pride at Work Canada

Developed by industry experts in LGBTQ2+ Workplace Inclusion, Pride at Work Canada created LGBTQ2+ 101 as an introductory course to set the foundation of an LGBTQ2+ inclusive culture. It was created out of the demand from Pride at Work Canada's National Partners to have a scalable training solution that would establish a consistent LGBTQ2+ terms and phrases that everyone can use (from a place of understanding). Available in French & English.

POLARIS - York University

This free learning hub presents you with information about how you can start participating in making the research adjudication system more equitable, diverse, and inclusive. The training comprises six modules:

Racial Equity Tools

Racial Equity Tools is designed to support individuals and groups working to achieve racial equity. It offers tools, research, tips, curricula, and ideas for people who want to increase their understanding and to help those working for racial justice at every level – in systems, organizations, communities, and the culture at large. These resources use language and analysis reflecting an understanding of systemic racism, power, and privilege and are accessible online and free to users.

UBC Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Collaboration in Autism - Autism and Neurodiversity in the Workplace

This program includes a series of six self-paced, interactive modules filled with useful activities and videos. The program is designed to assist human resource professionals, employers, supervisors, managers, co-workers, job coaches and counsellors, autistic employees, parents, students, and anyone interested in inclusive employment to learn practical strategies on how to support all employees to be successful on the job.
