Course Description:
This intensive two-week field course is mandatory for students in the Forest Ecology program and is designed to give students field survival and basic forestry skills. Topics include bush camp construction; safe use of boats, ATVs, and chainsaws; and basic bush survival skills. Students also learn how to correctly use topographical maps, compasses, air photos, GIS maps and other forestry equipment.
