Farhood Rismanchian received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Azad University (Iran) in 2010 and Eastern Mediterranean University (Cyprus) in 2013, respectively. He carried out his Ph.D. research on emergency department patient flow optimization in Seoul's Severance Hospital and received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Systems Engineering from Yonsei University (South Korea) in 2017. He currently works under the supervision of Prof. Farzad Zaerpour with the Department of Business and Administration, the University of Winnipeg. His current research focuses on the development of operations research and machine learning methodologies, and their implementation in intelligent decision support systems to improve the operational efficiency of healthcare delivery. Prior to his current role, he was collaborating with Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (Iran) as a Research Fellow on the system engineering solutions for successful and sustainable implementation of optimized telehealth services. He also served as a faculty member in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Firouzabad Institute of Higher Education (Iran).
