Art Conservation Demonstration: Friday, December 2 at 12:30 p.m. in Gallery 1C03

This December, Gallery 1C03 will serve as a lab for the restoration of a large Chinese embroidery that is part of the University's art collection. Stop by the Gallery on Friday, December 2 at 12:30 p.m. to learn how textile conservator Jose Milne is cleaning and repairing this special piece. It's also an opportunity to see the artwork up close and personal as it is typically displayed behind a glass case. In addition, Gallery visitors will learn about the provenance of the embroidery -- how did it get here? -- as well as ideas about the narrative shown in the work.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Wheelchair accessible.
