Rules and Guidelines for Writers
- We require all the information on the Bookings form. For the student’s e-mail, we require your university e-mail to show you are a university member. Your student ID is one to affirm you’re a UWinnipeg member, and two, as a variable for your name.
- From the today date, the appointment window is ten (10) day.
- We DO NOT acknowledge or send you an e-mail confirming the time and day. However, if you have spelled your e-mail correctly, the Bookings program will send you a confirmation e-mail.
- If you have a Zoom meeting and we have not e-mailed you a Zoom appointment receipt, then either e-mail (rhettutor@uwinnipeg.ca) or phone up (204-786-9129).
- We have a dead-zone of 35 hours. That is, the appointments are open until 35 hours. In other words, you cannot make an appointment the day before your due date. You can create an appointment two (2) or more days before your due date.
- If you have missed appointment or your tutor is not showing up, please contact us at rhettutor@uwinnipeg.ca.
- Although the system has not counted your appointments, we ask you to limit your appointments to two appointments per week unless otherwise agreed upon by your tutor.
- In the appointment, we require you put aside for the entire hour, and all extracurricular activities must cede. Any infringements of the rule will cause the termination of the meeting.
- We collected data to present to our department and our university. We do not list names and any other first-level information. We look at tutor’s output, what department your assignment is for, what days are most popular, the month total, and various other statistical analysis.
- If you require an appointment and within 35 hours, please e-mail us (rhettutor@uwinnipeg.ca), and we will send out a request to our tutors. Hopefully, we will connect with a tutor, but it might be on Zoom.
- Come multiple times—three (3) sessions at least—to ensure that you are developing, following, and strengthening the thesis.
