Reconciliation South Australia

Reconciliation South Australia (SA) is a non-profit organization based in Adelaide that focuses on the promotion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s movements toward reconciliation with the South Australian government and non-indigenous Australian communities. Ashley Saulog's involvement with Reconciliation SA was to support the goal of educating South Australians on both the symbolic and practical aspects of reconciliation. She was a part of the team of students involved in volunteering in organizing Reconciliation Week, National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day stalls in different regions of South Australia. These stalls included activities that support the theme of the events. Ashley was also involved in a supportive role to ActNow Theatre in the delivery of the anti-racism program, Generations of Change. Generations of Change program is delivered to youth ages 10-18 to facilitate conversations about racism and cultural safety. The day involves ActNow Theatres award winning interactive Forum Theatre Performance “Responding to Racism” which involves identifying and responding to racism.
