ADRA-Vanuatu

Titima Wanwilaiwan traveled to the Republic of Vanuatu (one of the Island nations in the South Pacific) and spent ten weeks with the Blossom Project of ADRA Vanuatu. It allowed her to learn about the South Pacific Island's pressing issues of domestic and sexual violence. Working with the Blossom Project enabled her to understand the complexity of these problems and how they relate to the legacy of colonization, gender inequity and the cycle of poverty. This field placement has helped to establish the network, and the opportunity to see the project working proactively with the sexual offenders in the prison. Titima is passionate about working with family and community and her field placement has helped her to develop more skills in designing project activities to fight against domestic violence for the Vanuatu community.
