Leah McDonnell

Master’s in Development Practice (MDP) in Indigenous Development

Leah McDonnell Leah McDonnell is from Toronto, ON and moved to Winnipeg solely for the MDP program.  She has traveled the world and worked in different countries, most recently in Israel working with asylum seekers from Africa.

Her main academic interests are in regards to human trafficking in Canada and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Men and Women (boys and girls).

Leah has a background in development, politics and communications.  While currently residing in Winnipeg for the program, after graduation she hopes to travel the rest of Canada and find work in community based development in remote reserves.
