Katrina Leclerc, an instructor in our Human Rights program, participated in the CSO–UN Dialogue on Peacebuilding, held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on December 10–11.

The Dialogue convened civil society representatives, UN officials, and Member State delegations to examine how to operationalize a whole-of-system approach to peacebuilding and sustaining peace, with Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) as cross-cutting themes.

Discussions focused on the role of civil society in peacebuilding policy and practice, including financing, protection, partnerships, and meaningful participation.

As a member of the Expert Advisory Group for the forthcoming Second Independent Progress Study on Youth, Peace and Security, Katrina led discussions contributing to the global consultation process for the Study, which will assess progress, gaps, and implementation challenges across the YPS agenda ten years after its adoption by the UN Security Council.
