Today is Human Rights Day!

On this day in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights (UDHR).

Celebrated annually on December 10th, Human Rights Day commemorates the adoption of this crucial
document which outlines fundamental freedoms and rights that all individuals are entitled to. The 2025
theme is Human Rights, Our Everyday Essentials.

Human Rights Day encourages reflection, action, and advocacy to ensure that human rights are respected for
all people, everywhere.
