Wed. Oct. 29, 2025
Dr. Kristi Kenyon was invited to deliver the talk "Monuments as Imperfect Human Rights Narrators" as part of the Global Friday Speaker series hosted by the Faculty of Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Northern British Columbia. She spoke about a monument-based assignment that Drs Kenyon and Khan have used in the History of Human Rights in Canada course with the support of HR alums (https://news.uwinnipeg.ca/undergrad-co-authors-research-on-using-monuments-as-a-teaching-tool/). This assignment is now being adapted and used in classes at UNBC!
Here's Dr. Kenyon with Prince George, BC's most prominent monument, Mr. PG!
