Dr. Kristi Kenyon presented the chapter "Theft of Dignity: Living with Lymphatic Filariasis in Ghana" as part of a panel on "Tackling a Neglected Tropical Disease: Policy, Practices and Possibilities" at the Prairie Political Science Association Conference in Banff, Alberta, held from September 19- 21.

She presented alongside University of Winnipeg Senior Research Assistants Ijeoma Okwor (MDP), who presented "Centering Voices, Shifting Powers: A Decolonial Lens on the LF Project in Ghana" and Aimee Tymkin, who presented "There is Value in Any Part of the Palm Tree: Translation as Part of the Research Process."

They were joined by colleagues on the CIHR-funded project on Lymphatic Filariasis from MacEwan University (Mary Asirifi) and Mount Saint Vincent University (Jonathan Roberts). The conference provided an opportunity to share research findings, and also to hold a research project meeting towards the development of a book.
