Women's Circle Community Workshop Series

In collaboration with the Women 4 Women South Sudan-MB, the SEED Winnipeg, and the Canadian Women's Foundation, we are hosting the " Women’s Circle: Healing, Empowering and Leading with Dignity Workshop Series" throughout summer and fall 2021. Facilitated by Dr. Jan Stewart (Interim Provost, VPA), Kari McCluskey (Faculty of Education), and Sandy Deng (Intercultural Support Worker, Community Leader), these Educational and Community Workshop series will focus on: 

(1) Financial Literacy

(2) Mental Well-Being and Stress Reduction

(3) Women's Walk with Dignity


(1) Financial literacy:  short and log-term money management, budgeting, and general financial planning remain important for everyone, and even more important during and after the pandemic times. We encourage you to attend 4 sessions throughout July - every Wednesday, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. To register, please click here .


(2) Mental Well-Being and Stress Reduction:

The well-being session will be focused on helping women learn stress reduction and relaxation strategies and how to access community resources during and after the pandemic. This session will also focus on issues of mental health stigma and fear of reporting.
